Data collection
CabinCast does not sell personal data. By default, screen sharing stays between your iPhone and devices connected to your iPhone Personal Hotspot, and anonymous diagnostics are turned off.
If you turn on anonymous diagnostics, CabinCast may send compact casting session summaries after use to CabinCast's backend hosted on Supabase. These summaries help improve default settings, reliability, and performance patterns. They can include app version, coarse device category, language group, iOS version, selected streaming mode, connection outcome, frame/drop/stall counts, thermal state, and similar performance numbers.
Anonymous diagnostics do not include your screen content, audio, URLs, precise location, contacts, Apple account information, raw IP addresses, or Tesla account details.
You can turn diagnostics off and reset pending diagnostics plus the anonymous diagnostics ID from Settings. CabinCast may also keep a local count of uploaded diagnostic summaries so the app can show your recent contribution history; this count stays on your device.
Screen sharing
CabinCast uses the iOS screen sharing system so your Tesla browser can show your iPhone screen. CabinCast does not upload your screen content to a CabinCast server.
Local network
CabinCast uses local network access so another device on your iPhone Personal Hotspot can open the CabinCast page. This is used only for the screen sharing session.
Purchases
CabinCast may offer an optional Supporter Pack purchase through Apple's StoreKit system. Purchase processing is handled by Apple.
