Support

Most CabinCast issues come down to the hotspot, the exact viewer URL, selected mode, or phone heat during higher-quality streaming.

Connection checklist

  • Confirm the Tesla is connected to the iPhone Personal Hotspot.
  • Use http://240.3.3.3:8080, not https://.
  • Approve the iOS local network or VPN prompt if it appears.
  • Restart the CabinCast broadcast if the viewer loads but video does not move.

Mode checks

  • Use Stable Mode first when setting up a new car or phone.
  • Switch to Quality Mode only after Stable Mode is moving cleanly.
  • Supporter PRO Codec, High Quality, and Smooth Mode depend on the hotspot link and phone heat.
  • If the phone reports heat warnings, lower quality before testing again.

Fullscreen

  • True fullscreen is a Supporter feature in the Tesla browser.
  • The viewer may show a bright-screen warning before opening fullscreen.
  • If fullscreen opens but the stream stops, return to the viewer and use Reset Stream.

Known limits

  • CabinCast is view-only and cannot control iPhone apps from the Tesla screen.
  • DRM-protected video may appear black because iOS blocks protected screen capture.
  • Use the Tesla browser only while parked and according to local laws.
  • Use Bluetooth or the iPhone for normal audio.
